How do you convert a Eddie Bauer Convertible Car Seat into a Booster? And at what weight can they switch????

oh also...doesn't say anything in the guide... i know it's weird.
If it doesn't say in the vade-mecum, I'd be checking Dorel's website and customer service, or take it to a CPST (check your police station) to expropriate. However, don't ask when can they use it as a booster, the question should be when do they have to?!
A child should stay in a 5 point harness as long as possible, it is safer than a booster. Additionally, most kids aren't on the verge of for boosters until they are 5-6 years old at least. With that seat (and most others) you can only use the harness up to 40lbs and then you have to remove the harness and use it as a booster seat. Most state laws desire a child to be at least 40lbs and/or 4 years old to ride in a booster seat, and that is the minimum as far as safety is concerned.
If the child is under 4 but approaching or over 40lbs, I'd look into getting a HWH (higher substance harness ) seat that will keep him harnessed longer. Britax Regent, Safety1st Apex65, Sunshine Kids Radian65, Britax Marathon, Evenflo Tiumph Improve all will harness to 50lbs and more.

Fathom the directions in the manual! It has lots of nice pictures and everything to show you how.
You should always keep your child in a 5 point harness as long as conceivable so you should wait until they exceed the weight or height recommendation of the seat. That information is in your manual too. I can't tell you what it says because a) US and Canadian models are weird b) My manual is in the car where it should be, and the car isn't here.

HI, I am looking to walk away a custom cover for my sons car seat and I was wondering how do I go about making that? Is there any patterns I can go by or How do I make my own pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Making a way car seat cover is something you absolutely do not want to do. It is not safe to use a cover that the manufacturer did not make for the seat and test with the seat. Its not simply making a bedding that's similar to the one already on it. Manufacturers make them fire resistant, which is quite important in a crash where fire is possible. Also, they make reliable the harness slots line up exactly so there is no interference with how the harness works. You should never use an aftermarket product with a car seat. All the dainty fuzzy covers in the world are not worth your child's life. Even if you do not see how it could possibly change the way the seat functions, don't do it. We are not the engineers who designed it and tested it to mould sure it was safe and you can't predict how the seat will function in a homemade cover.

I am contemplative about buying this car seat for my son. Does anyone have one? If so do you like it? Also how can I find out if it is FAA approved for flight? I haven't found it in any store near me so opening it up to find the FAA approved sticker isn't attainable. If this isn't FAA approved, what is a good convertible car seat that is (rear facing, front facing, booster)? Any advice is appreciated.
I brown study I'd try and help you out since no one else has answered your question. I did an internet search for this seat and couldn't figure out if it had FAA approval either. I'd recommend you call Eddie Bauer and ask them directly.
As for declaration a seat that works best, I'd check out the guidelines listed on our airlines website. I did find the site for Southwest Airlines and it might resist you as well.
