Are all infant car seat BASE the same?
We have an Cosco Eddie Bauer Draughtsman 22 SE Infant Car Seat. We don't have a base for it and we weren't sure if all infant car seats were the same ( this is our first child).
If they're not, what would be the best one? I've looked in the internet but came up empty handed - possibly you could do better =).

No... you must use the adjust base (both brand *and* exact model) with your infant seat.
Also be sure the seat is not expired or otherwise unsafe to use. This checklist is excellent: http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/usedseat.aspx
However, most infant seats can be also acquainted with *without* the base if you take the time to correctly install the seat everytime you put it in the car. Check the seat's instructions to be sure... (and if you do not have instructions you should not use the seat until you get a example). Graco Snugride infant car seat base compatibilty?
We have a Snugride infant car seat and base. We yen to get extra bases. I bought a Graco LiteRider base at a garage sale. The Snugride car seat snaps unequivocally into place in the LiteRider base, but I want to MAKE SURE that they are fully compatible before I start putting my baby in it. Can anyone ensure or deny that the Graco SnugRide infant car seat can be used with the Graco LiteRider base? Thanks!
Is an Evenflo infant car seat compatible with a Graco infant seat car base?
Positively not. They don't hook on the same way, and are not tested with each other's bases. If its not crash tested that way, then you would be using your child as a crash test ninny if you did try it. And defintiely don't get a used base - its ok to get a new in the package one on eBay - but never a used car seat/base.
