How do you keep gazebo mosquito netting from blowing up from the bottom?
May 07, 2007 by trc | Posted in Garden & Landscape
We very recently installed a gazebo with netting on our patio. It looks great but we noticed that the wind picks up the bottom of the netting and blows it inward/skin-deep. The netting is hanging like a shower curtain, on rings that can be slid. It won't be very effective if the bugs can get in from the bottom.
sew in some weights on the bottom. that should assist.

I have 12x12 gazebo purchased from home depot. Was woundering if i can use wood post instead of poles in box.?
Apr 15, 2008 by saintz | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
Bought gazebo for back yard.Would rather use wood position instead of weak poles that came with gazebo is it possible. If yes how would i go about putting it up with wood post?
I see you have no answers yet, in all probability because we would assume a gazebo kit would come with wood posts and not poles. Anyway, I will try to help you with the info you have provided. First follow the layout dimensions in the kit, now substitute your 4"x4" treated posts for the poles keeping them in the same layout.
Now au courant with them all at the same height, cut a short piece of the poles provided and secure them to the (leveled) tops of 4"x4".
Since I can't see these poles/posts I adopt you can come up with a method to do this. Make sure you fasten post to poles in a secure manner. Now you have to despatch the install. The top portion of the gazebo doesn't realize that it is being fastened to a short pole vs. long full length shaft-so this should work.
If in fact you have a octagon shaped tent instead of a gazebo, you might take it back and get what you want. Otherwise I think this will work if you fix everything in a tight manne.
Good Luck

Can I buy bamboo to build an outdoor gazebo?
Mar 20, 2006 by dummy | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
Goal has a bamboo Gazebo and a tiki bar. The problem is we live in the city and our back yard is very small. the gazebo would take up the most of our yard. So I want to raise a smaller one. But didn't know if you can buy bamboo?
Yes. www.gardeners.com has bamboo. Theycan also send you a rescue cataloge.
