does anybody know were i can buy a britax marathon used car seat?

im a put mother trying to find a good deal on a britax car seat because my baby is chunky and it seems those are the biggest car seats. does anybody have any sugestions?

I do not acceptable buying a used car seat at all; you can never be sure of the integrity of it. I would suggest looking into a Fisher-Price Safe Voyage Deluxe. I have both that carseat and a Britax Marathon; and I don't embrace either of the other. The FPSVD is manufactured by Britax, but marketed under the FP name. It is only $129.99 w/free shipping from Albee baby.

We have a Britax Dialect whirligig car seat and we are traveling cross country and I want to keep my son's carseat protected while going through the luggage claim, etc (and I prerequisite to check the carseat). Is there a free or VERY cheap way to keep it safe and tear free? I have a car seat travel bag but dont requirement to buy another (since we have 2 kids). Thanks!!

Hi! Checking car seats is really a very risky thing to do. So pardon me while I try and talk you out of it! Remember first that car seats MUST be replaced when they have been severely dropped/tossed, well-deserved like they have to be replaced when in an accident. Second, think of the way luggage is usually handled in airports. Not a good-hearted combination - to put something that should not be tossed around in a situation where it will most definitely be tossed around or dropped. Especially if it's in a bag, its just another piece of baggage. Even airports will tell you to take anything valuable with you as a carry-on. They will only replace car seats if there is visible damage, but it would be the damage that's unseen, like cracks middle the seat or protective foam that would cause your child to not be protected in an accident. I call a $200 car seat pretty valuable!

Also, most kids do improve in car seats on planes. They're used to being buckled up when in moving vehicles, and a plane is no different. Keeps in one section, keeps them safe during rough turbulence, and can give them a secure feeling to have their trusty seat.

Can't afford a Britax Car Seat - Any comparable models?

Although I would tenderness to buy the Britax Car Seat, I just can't afford $350.00 for a car seat. (In Canada, the cheapest I've found them for is $299 plus tax.) Surely there must be a comparable but cheaper ideal that is safe, easy to use and affordable? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I need something that has easy to use straps. My current seat is bad The straps are hard to adjust and tangle and twist. I want to avoid this in the future.

I relish Eddie Bauer car seats.
I'm also a big fan of Cosco Scenera's.
