Maxi-Cosi convertible car seats vs. Britax Roundabout?

My son will be outgrowing his infant estate soon and I'm researching car seats and I was interested in the Britax roundabout. I've also seen the Maxi-Cosi car seats. I like them as well and they have gotten accomplished reviews. I know the Britax as my sister has used it for her two kids and my son used theirs when we were visiting earlier this week. I cognizant of that they are extrememly safe and comfortable. Does anybody have any experience with the Maxi-Cosi seats? Are they as comfortable for babe in arms?

First of all i would like to say that there is no one incumbency that is "extremely safe". The safest seat is the one that fits your child, fits your car politely and is used correctly EVERY time.

there are plenty of good seats out there that are cheaper. My girls both ride rear fa in a first years true fit($180). I LOVE it. Both girls are still on the bottom slot(one with the infant insert and one without) and its a BREEZE to fix in place. Plus it lasts 7 years versus the normal 6 years for carseats.

I haven't heard much about the Maxi-cosi seats though.

Maxi-Cosi car seat. When do i need to take the seat insert for newborns out?

I have the Maxi-Cosi car enthrone and am wondering when i need to take the newborn seat insert out. Is it when baby can sit up or just when it seems to get a bit small?

Is this an flyer that came with the seat? If not it should never have been used. Anything added to a carseat was not safety tested with your carseat. It can for all practical purposes the way it protects your child and may void your carseat's warrentee: http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/aftermarket.aspx

If it did finish with your seat you can still take it out whenever you are comfortable doing so. It isn't a necessary part of a carseat... it just makes the baby more 'comfy' when he or she can't check up their head on their own.
