I have a pegasus brushed nickel devour bathroom faucet (rather new & expensive)
It looks terrible, all spotted up. Looks like water spots right away into
the faucet, not something you can just put a cleaner on and rub off.
I have not used any harsh cleaners to cause damage to the finish. Any ideas on how to mend the finish?

well the finest, it could be mineral deposits or the water is acidic and has eaten into the finish.

City water it could also be acidic.

could also be an extravagant faucet with a cheap finish. Check your warranty see if the finish is covered, most faucets don't warranty the finish. Windex might blameless it and won't hurt it. I'm guessing that the finish is damaged from something.

From individual experience, my husband and I bought an old house that has been partially renovated. All the sinks were recently replaced with Pegasus fixtures and sinks. But, all the showers still had older Moen fixtures in them. The faucet in the Nautical galley sink has already broken twice - and currently, it's beyond repair and needs to be replaced. We've never had a problem with the old Moen faucets, in this concern and in other houses we have renovated.

I haven't completely sworn off Pegasus faucets, because they have a good reputation, and they are generally comparable to Moen and Kohler in looks and price. If it were up to me, I would possibly buy either a Moen or Pegasus and most of my decision would be based on the price and looks of the faucet, since both products are outstanding.
