Do you like your Chariot Stroller?
Mar 09, 2008 by Michelle | Posted in Toddler & Preschooler
We are looking at buying a dead ringer Chariot stroller with bike and ski attachments for our 1 yr old son and our eventually to be born baby. Anyhow, we are contemplating between the CX2 and Cougar 2 models. Which one do you have, and do you like it?
Not when they thump me in races. We have a double Bob jogger, and a Burleigh, and if the Burleigh wasnt a gift, would have gladly went with the Chariot as a substitute for.
Have fun. The Bob was the best thing we ever did - to get my baby weight off and keep the family active. Although the thing I do love about the Bob is the rugged wheels and storage break.
Also we were really happy with getting them thru REI - know they carry Chariots too, since with our rebate, got some attachments. Plus all the instruction they gave us.
Also if you dont find answers here, google swill like Mom Joggers. They may have more info. Also if you plan on racing, some areas, always ban joggers, since they dont pay the extra contention insurance - GRRRRRRR

I am thinking of purchasing a Chariot Carriers Cougar 2 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with the wheel.?

Is the Chariot quality the money? With the wheel attachment to convert into a stroller, is it easy to use? Has anyone NOT gotten their money's worth on this buying? Also, can you use it as a jogging stroller (not an avid runner but for ossasional runs).
We bought one for the power to convert between bike trailer and jogging stroller.
We looked into purchasing the wheels to turn it into a stroller, but the wheels we saw were not very untie turning.
Having own the Cougar, I must admit that I just don't see using it as a stroller. It's just so huge when reach-me-down in that capacity. Now for places where something the size of a jogging stroller is appropriate, it's great. But the purpose for the stroller wheels are so you can refashion sharp corners in tight places.
Now I have to admit, a down side as a jogging stroller is the front wheel is fixed, so if you do have to go around a corner, you have to nick the front tire off the ground to make the turn.
So the only place I could see bothering with the Cougar and the stroller wheels is if you intend to do a bunch of out door walking where the bigger tires are nice (compared to tiny stroller wheels) and you have to switch disservice lots of corner (like following a winding path). But otherwise, I think you need sperate strollers.
