tandem strollers?
Jul 24, 2007 by geeky_mommy | Posted in Newborn & Baby
My cosset will be born when my other baby will be about a year and a half, what would be a good stroller? I am all about lightweight and compact, so the world of treacherous strollers completley boggles me right now! Or what about twin strollers? What are the pros/cons?
What ilk of car carrier do you have? If you plan to use the double stroller as a "travel system" you will want to make unswerving the carrier and the stroller and compatible. My daughters are about a year apart. I got the Eddie Bauer stroller because the front fanny can turn around and face backwards. I thought that would be neat for them to look at each other when they got bigger. The only problem was that thing weighed a TON!
So we ended up buying a odd one. We went with the Combi side-by-side stroller. It was really nice and lightweight. The only problem with it was if you put too much stuff on the back (hanging on the run), the stroller had a tendency to tip. It didn't happen when the girls were in it. For me it was more when I was getting them out and their weight wasn't there to hold it down. I have heard about them tipping with kids in it.
I have seem a lot of people with the Duo Glider from Graco. A playmate of mine has twins and she loves it. Try looking at the website below. It has comparisons of strollers, including price, weights and ratings from parents.

My sister had a increase stroller and we called it the "limo" because it was huge and it couldn't fit in her trunk. It was helpful when she was affluent to the mall because she didn't have to run after her two little devils.

Tandem Strollers? (In particular the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller)?
May 08, 2008 by GG Lewis | Posted in Other - Pregnancy & Parenting
I'm looking for an informal to steer, good quality, safe, and durable tandem pram in Victoria, Australia.
I like the look of the Graco Quattro Duo... Has anyone had experiences with this pram? Any non-specific review would be great, and in particular:
Is it easy to steer?
Does it last?
Is it good for long distance? (I don't zeal so we walk everywhere)
Any set backs?
Do you recommend any other tandem strollers?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I don't have any large answers for twins (except that while they're young a double snap-and-go stroller is a must), but if you have two of different ages, I have a Phil and Ted's E3 (the newer example is called the Sport) and I love it! I used it for my son as a single, took the baby for a walk with it completely vapid (like a pram) yesterday with a second seat on top for my toddler to hop on when he was tired of walking, and used it today for my toddler and a baby's toddler. I love the flexibility, the second seat snaps on and off easily, and the whole thing fits in the very paltry trunk of my car. When in use, it isn't any bigger or wider than a single stroller and is great for manuvering through stores or crowds.
On the contradictory side, I do wish it had a bigger basket... if you plan to use it for shopping you need to buy the pannier bags. It's also totally expensive, but it keeps it's resale value.

Stand-on Tandem Strollers, What was your experience?
May 19, 2007 by Amber C | Posted in Other - Pregnancy & Parenting
As far as I certain there are two out there to choose from, the Joovy Caboose version and the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand. I've read reviews and the Pamper trend ones tend to be bad, and the Joovy one is too new so not many reviews. I was hoping people who own them could let me know their feelings on them. I have a 2 1/2 yr old and an 8 month old. I have occasion for something semi-light weight to use around town and when we head out of town for my older son to take a break when he needs it or when I want to corral him in a parking lot or such.
Please let me know your experiences.
I'm precisely watching this question because I want to know. But in looking at other questions someone posted a link to this stroller, and while I haven't old it I think it is pretty neat because the older kid can sit (there's a little bench) or stand. This picture kind of makes that unkind to see though:
