Neutral bedding/travel system that goes together?
Dec 24, 2008 by <3!M0m 0f 5!<3 | Posted in Newborn & Baby
I am with a bun in the oven twins in about 4 months, and we need to start getting ready for the babies. We have decided that we are not going to find out the sex of the babies. We are unsatisfying neutral bedding. I have looked online at Babies R Us, and can not find anything that has the same bedding and travel system strollers that go together. I would really appreciate it if you would help me on this.
Thanks so much!
I solicitude because people that I know will probably go into the babies nursery and then ask me why I don't have a same travel system to match it! I'm not the one who is picky, it is my husband who is...
Please no more rude comments!
LOL..I subordinate Mystic!!
Why in the world do you care if the bedding and travel system matches??
"I care because people that I know will very likely go into the babies nursery and then ask me why I don't have a same travel system to match it!" WTF?? What kind of friends do you have?? Nobody cares! I inescapable as heck didn't ask my friends why the nursery didn't match the stroller!
I honestly don't think that they give the impression of run off bedding that matches
strollers.
How in the world are you having twins in 4 months? That means you are 5 months pregnant. Looking at your earlier questions, you were due with your 3rd on 8-20-08. Which is only 4 months ago. 4 months + 4 months=8 months. Last I checked pregnancies last 9 months +. You must have gotten pointed in the hospital while delivering your 3rd child.
I smell a troll....

Are you serious? You control whether the stroller and carseat that are only used outside of your house match the bedding that is only used inside your quarter?
Most car-seats have a black and grey or black and brown fabric, that goes with everything.

What would you pay for these items at a garage sale?
Jul 06, 2008 by confused | Posted in Toddler & Preschooler
I'm having a garage marketing, here are my items, what YOU pay for each. Also, to let you know all of my items are in EXCELLENT condition, only minor wear, no stains etc.
Baby Bottles--Soothie & Gerber
Infafeeders
Wine Glasses (opera-glasses or lead crystal)
Bottle Warmer
Container to hold nipples and rings in the dishwasher
Cookie Jars
Kids' Clothes
Parenthood Clothes--name brand
High Chair
Bassinet
Little Tikes Toy Chest
Little Tikes out of doors slide
Fisher Price Qquarium Swing
Play Pen
Dining Table (no chairs though)
Paperback books
Canning Jars (boxed in boxes of 12)
Twin Stroller
Travel System (stroller, carseat/Immunology vector, and base)
Full box of bottle liners
Johnny jump up
I have A LOT of other stuff too, but I just need some input on things that I either have a lot of or that are big items.
I have trifle about placing an ad on Craig's list, but I don't want to mess with ebay, I normally end up on the losing end of that.
I should have mentioned the bottles were NOT hand-me-down, they are new in packages.
I have had a TON of garage sales - and shopped even more: Some accoutrements you are lucky to just get rid of! I usually have a 3-4 day sale - start prices high, and start dropping if a few people ask and rove away. The last day of the garage sale drop your prices LOW to get rid of the stuff - otherwise you have to box it up and drag it to Goodwill --- If you don't requisite to sell too cheap Keep the few good items and sell on Craigs List
Also - the big baby stuff will promote better on craigs list, I'm having a baby in 5 weeks and have bought SO much of her stuff on there - The prices are terrible compared to new, and I don't have to go garage saling with my two pre-schoolers and my 8 month belly!! - sold a lot of stuff too, MUCH easier then Ebay (I was a conscientious seller on Ebay for 8 years, and I won't touch it anymore!!)
Baby Bottles--Soothie & Gerber -- at most $1 each - more like 50-25 cents
Wine Glasses (magnifying glass or lead crystal) - sets of 4 or more $1-2 each (4 glasses $6) , 50 cents or $1 for singles
Grit Warmer - $3 ?
Container to hold nipples and rings in the dishwasher - 50 cents
Cookie Jars - depends - sets go for more
Kids' Clothes 25 cents to $2 at most
Pregnancy Clothes--name brand -- hard to sell clothes - $1 each at most
High Chair - depends on age - $10 - $40 if its almost new (name make)
Bassinet - I just bought 2 for $30 and $20 on craigs list
Little Tikes Toy Caddy - I paid $5 for a LT dinosaur toy box that sat outside - so up to $10-$20??
Little Tikes outdoor slide - I got $20 for a sordid LT kitchen....
Fisher Price Qquarium Swing - I paid $50 for the aquarium swaying 3 years ago - just got the newer version used for $50 -- saw on CL for as low as $30
Play Pen - $20- $50 depends on get/age -- look on Craigs list to see what other people are asking - then ask $10 or so less
Dining Table (no chairs though) - 10-30 depending on quarters
Paperback books - 25 cents -- or just give away!!
Canning Jars (boxed in boxes of 12) -- $5 at most per box, I have NO Plan what these sell for at stores - tell people to make offer for all
Twin Stroller - Mine did not sell at garage vending - but seen people asking $50 for the front/back type -- Craigs list item
Travel System (stroller, carseat/drayman, and base) - lady asking $100 or so teh other day, but it had the swing too. I paid $15 for the carrier & wicked last week. Maybe $50, sell on CL
Full box of bottle liners - whatever they give you! $2 ??
Johnny jump up - hubby paid $15 for mine at an auction (toughened - doorway type) I believe I sold it for $5 at my garage sale

The best double stroller (travel system)?
May 22, 7882 by benandjerryluvr | Posted in Newborn & Baby
I'm purchasing some items for my twins ( due in july), and I after to find a double stroller/travel system. I've purchased the Graco Pack N' Play twins bassinet (the COOLEST!!), but I'm having a heck of a pass finding anything else I like for the the twins. I only know that one of them is a boy.. the other didn't feel the urge to share. Ad, they are fraternal (detached sacs), so I'm keeping colors neutral. HELP?!?
Tracy, I am doing slings, but I will still need car seats for the twins, as the city sheriff might frown on me wearing slings as I drive. ;)
Peg Perego makes a eminent one--the Duette. It has an actual steering wheel feature (double strollers that are front and back are really awkward as your kids get older and heavier. It will be approximately impossible to push when they're about 2. The steering wheel like feature is amazing and lets you press them very easily, plus it is adaptable for all car seats, although I'd recommend going with the Peg Perego, as it's side impact protection security feature is one of the only companies to use it in infant seats.
