Is something wrong with our Peg Perego Skate Stroller?

We unprejudiced put together our new peg perego skate stroller but something doesn't seem quite right. The bassinet/carriage swivels slightly (up and down) and our assumption is that it should lock pantihose in place to the chasis. Does anyone have this stroller that can help?

I would call the fabricator or go to a baby store that had them already set up and see if they are built any different than yours.

If so, do you like it? Is it quality spending the money on?

It looks wonderful!! No more than make sure before you buy how heavy it is... do a little manoeuvring at the store before you actually buy it. That'd be my only advice.

I've had strollers that were too downhearted and bulky hence my advice ;)

Bugaboo Chameleon or Peg Perego Skate?

I am with child baby # 1 and am shopping for a baby stroller. I am torn between 2: the Bugaboo Chameleon and the Peg Perego Skate. I like that that you can use the Peg Perego infant sofa (car seat) with the Skate, but it is a heavier stroller than the Bugaboo. Does anyone have either stroller? Do you like it? What are the pros and cons of each?

I have the Bugaboo.
Things I like about it:
- Every the religious ministry item can go in the washing machine
- Bassinet is big
- You can have the baby facing you or away
- Very comfortable on the road
- Handbrake

What I don't like about it:
- Bit intricate to fold and set up
- Bulky. It takes up quite a bit of room in the house, but if you have the space this should not be a problem.
- Until you change it to the buggy, it's very stern to get things in and out of the basket underneath
- Quite low to the ground
- Extra's are extremely expensive (though you can get 'generic' reserve's)
- Hard to attach stroller toys to it

I got it as a present from my parents and I picked it myself, but to be very honest: if I got to choose again now (my son is almost 5 months) I would unquestionably go for a different kind of stroller. I'd pick one that's more compact and I guess.

I like the idea of the Peg Pergo with the car seat opportunity. You will get a lot of use out of it when the baby is a newborn. Do pay attention though that it's a click on system (where the base stays in the car) otherwise you're messing around with seatbelts all the time and that's annoying and every so often consuming.

Anyway, I hope this helped a bit.
